1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using ReferPool, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. Nature of the Service
ReferPool:
- Is a referral infrastructure platform
- Is not a recruitment agency
- Is not an employer
- Does not guarantee employment
- Does not guarantee referrals
Hiring decisions are made solely by employers.
3. Eligibility
You must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Provide accurate information
- Not impersonate others
We may suspend accounts for misuse.
4. Anonymity
ReferPool operates anonymous-by-default.
Identity is revealed only when triggered by:
- Talent Pool addition
- Referral
- Consent
Once revealed, further internal employer sharing is beyond our control.
5. PeerScreens
PeerScreens:
- Are structured screening tools
- Are not formal interviews
- Do not guarantee referral
- Must not include discriminatory or unlawful content
Users must not submit false information.
6. AI Disclaimer
AI-generated scores:
- Are indicative only
- May contain inaccuracies
- Must not be relied upon solely for employment decisions
ReferPool does not make automated employment decisions.
7. Verification Fees
Where applicable:
- Fees are verification mechanisms
- They are not payments for employment
- They are non-refundable once accessed
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Harass users
- Scrape platform data
- Extract data for recruitment agency purposes
- Circumvent anonymity protections
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReferPool is not liable for:
- Employment outcomes
- Referral bonuses
- Hiring decisions
- Indirect or consequential damages
Liability cap:
The greater of:
- £100
- Amount paid in previous 12 months
Nothing limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury.
10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
For UK & EU Users:
Governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
For U.S. Users:
Disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration under the Federal Arbitration Act.
You waive:
- Jury trial rights
- Class action participation
Arbitration shall be conducted individually.
For Canadian Users:
Disputes governed by the laws of England and Wales unless prohibited by mandatory local law.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of terms or misuse.
You may close your account at any time.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
